Souper Bites Information

Tucked along 1751 Fairgrove Church Rd SE in Conover, North Carolina, Souper Bites feels like one of those places you discover once and immediately want to keep coming back to. The location itself is unpretentious, easy to find, and surrounded by that familiar small-town charm where regulars seem to know each other by name. Walking in, the atmosphere strikes a comfortable balance between casual diner and cozy neighborhood spot, with a welcoming vibe that doesn’t try too hard but still makes you feel looked after.

The menu leans heavily into comfort food, with soups clearly taking center stage, but there’s more variety than the name might suggest. On my visit, the daily soup options were listed right at the counter, and you could tell they were made fresh rather than pulled from a freezer. A creamy potato soup stood out immediately-rich without being overly heavy, with just enough seasoning to keep it interesting. Paired with a grilled sandwich, it turned into a satisfying, no-frills meal that hit all the right notes. Other diners nearby seemed just as enthusiastic, with one table raving about a chicken-based soup that apparently rotates through the menu.

Service here feels genuinely warm, not scripted. The staff took the time to explain menu items and offered suggestions without being pushy, which added to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place where you might end up chatting a bit longer than expected, simply because the environment invites it. Orders come out promptly, and while the presentation isn’t fancy, everything is neatly done and clearly prepared with care.

What stands out most is how the restaurant fits into the local dining scene. In an area where chain restaurants are easy to come by, this spot offers something more personal. Reviews from regular customers often mention consistency and friendliness, and based on firsthand experience, that reputation feels well-earned. Portions are fair for the price, making it accessible whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for a relaxed meal.

There isn’t a lot of publicly documented information about the business’s history or sourcing practices, so it’s hard to verify details like ingredient origins, but the freshness of the food speaks for itself. The overall experience leans more toward comfort and authenticity than trendiness, which ultimately gives it its charm.

What People's Say About Place

Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend their Mexirean Fries. Food was worth the price, quality was amazing. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful when ordering. Food came out within 5-10 minutes.

So delicious and very unique menu. It was so flavorful! I got the kimchi tofu tacos and they were excellent. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the items on the menu. The woman who worked there was so nice and helpful too! I recommend to anyone who likes trying new foods and flavors.

This was the first time our family eat here. The food was awesome and the service was accurate, quick and friendly. We look forward to eating here again!

A HIDDEN GEM! 10/10 I don’t know how I’ve never heard about this place before! Their food was OUTSTANDING! I went with my family, in total four of us were dining in and it was super affordable! The flavoring in their tacos were sooo incredible I chose chicken for my protein and it was sweet but perfectly salty and the cilantro and veggies inside made it taste sooo fresh! The kimchi fries with steak were by far the best I’ve EVER had, they use waffle fries and the fries are perfectly crisp and the flavoring was perfectly balanced! The banh mi was amazing the bread was perfectly crisp and the flavoring was incredible as well! The garlic noodles were delicious as well! It’s more on the salty spicy side so if you enjoy that definitely give it a try! The employees were very sweet as well! Give this place a try it is incredible!

This isn’t a fancy place but I seriously could have ordered everything on the menu!! Took me forever to order. If you love love sushi you have to order the Souchi Bake!!!!! It was amazing…. Bites you fold into the seaweed sheets and eat… I could eat this every single day!

The Asian fusion tacos are phenomenal! They consistently make delicious food. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. I have dined in and did take out multiple times and have never been disappointed.

The owners of Souper Bites, Sou & Amy, are great folks. They don't just provide delicious food at fair prices; they treat you like friends and family. The restaurant is bright and clean, and they play awesome music to accompany the happy dance your mouth makes as you enjoy the food. We ordered several tacos, takoyaki balls, eggrolls, the Shrimpura (my fave), and two rolls: a burrito and Korean one. Everything was delicious. The meat is flavorful and tender, and the ingredients all work well together. I'm not a burrito fan, but the one here is luscious. I've eaten here twice in the last 2 days.

Asian Fusion Restaurant Souper Bites founded by our very own Mr. Sou Lor! Love the burrito, takoyaki, and kimchi fries! All 3 food items were so gooood! Hit up this Hmong joint right by the edge of Conover off Exit 128 of Interstate 40!
